Most people have faith in existence of God. Even atheists exclaim “Oh God”. This concept is ingrained in every soul. Quran & Sunnah talk about this primarily as a step to Asma-was-sifaat of Allah, and then Ibadah of Allaah. The confusion is on attributes of God.

Allah created all things (Quran 39:62, 37:96, 64:11) including calamity/pain, mass and energy. So, believing Einstein’s theory that “Enerygy can neither be created nor be destroyed” is a violation of this.

(Quran Surah Az Zumar ayat 62)

Allâh is the Creator of All things, and He is the Wakîl (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian, etc.) over All things.

(Quran Surah 64. At Taghaabun ayat 11)

no calamity befalls, but with the leave [i.e. decision and Qadar (Divine Preordainments)] of Allâh, and Whosoever believes In Allâh, He guides his heart [to the true faith with certainty, i.e. what has befallen Him was already written for Him by Allâh from the Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], and Allâh is the All-Knower of everything.

Area where People, including Muslims falter: When misfortune happens to them or good people, they ask “Why?” Answer: Why not? Are you leading a perfect sin-less life? You commit sins. Faith in Ruboobiyah requires you to accept all things: Good and Bad. Be patient. Good fortune and bad fortune are merely events predestined by Allah as part of the tests of this life. Nothing happens except what Allaah allows to happen. Impatience shows the weakness in Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyah. It also requires us not to depend on things like Amulets to protect you
